Dota 2 Patch 7.40 Released — New Hero Largo Added
During the night of December 16, Valve released patch 7.40 for Dota 2, the first major numbered update since May 2025. The update is a large-scale one and affects nearly all core aspects of the game. The developers have updated the map, adjusted hero balance, rebalanced items, and revamped the neutral item system. The headline addition of the patch is the new hero — Largo.
New Hero — Largo
Largo is a support-oriented hero focused on empowering allies and enabling teamplay. He uses musical and ritual-based abilities to influence the pace of fights and enhance his team’s spellcasting effectiveness.
