Legendary Play: MidOne Pulls Off the Rarest Rampage in Pro Dota 2

Dota 2 analyst Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen has uncovered a one-of-a-kind record in professional Dota 2 history—an achievement that belongs solely to Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng. Since The International 2015, no player but MidOne has pulled off a nine-player multikill, effectively a quintuple Rampage, in a pro match.

🏆 A Moment for the History Books

This remarkable feat occurred during a match between Team SMG and Execration in the BTS Pro Series Season 7 back in August 2021. Playing Phantom Lancer, MidOne secured nine consecutive kills in rapid succession as his team pressured Execration deep into their fountain, with the game nearly over. He ended the match with a flawless 25/0/5 KDA.

While even a quadruple Rampage (four in a row) is a rare sight—having only occurred six times in the professional scene—MidOne's quintuple stands alone. Noxville did not detail the players behind the quadruple Rampages.

🔁 A Career of Highs and Lows

MidOne returned to the Southeast Asian region in April 2021 after stints with top-tier teams like Team Secret and OG. He joined Team SMG, which featured notable names like Mushi and iceiceice, but the roster never fully reached its potential, struggling even in local competitions.

His brief return to Team Secret also failed to reignite past success. As of now, MidOne is inactive, with his last professional appearance being at PGL Wallachia Season 2, where he stood in for Tundra Esports.
