Dota 2 Player Numbers Dip in June 2024
According to Steam Charts, Dota 2's average online player count dropped by over five percent in June 2024 compared to the previous month, falling below 500,000 players once again.
The peak online player count also decreased from 943,000 to 869,000. It's important to note that the game's highest peak player count (almost 1.3 million) was recorded in March 2016.
In patch 7.36c, released last week, developers made numerous balance adjustments to Dota 2. These changes affected over a dozen artifacts, including one neutral artifact, and more than 50 characters.
