Comeback Trail: Resolut1on Sets His Sights on Winning Riyadh Masters and The International
Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok, a previously inactive Dota 2 player, has announced his intentions to make a comeback to professional gaming. During a live stream, he shared his lofty ambitions for the upcoming year: winning the two most prestigious tournaments in the Dota 2 scene.
"What are my plans for the next six months? Plans are to get in good shape, get on a team, go to Riyadh Masters and win Riyadh Masters, go to The International and win The International. And then, keep chilling," said Resolut1on.
Resolut1on initially hinted at his return to the competitive arena in February 2024, but has not yet signed with any team. The Riyadh Masters, one of the tournaments he aims to conquer, is set to begin in July.
Since reaching the grand final at The International 11, Resolut1on has not achieved significant success in the professional Dota 2 circuit. His last team, Old G, failed to make a notable impact. For most of 2023, he remained off the competitive grid, although he did make brief appearances as a stand-in for the BetBoom Team, last participating at the Bali Major.
