PGL Unveils Rules for 3rd Party DPC Casters in North America and Western Europe

Tournament operator PGL has released a set of rules that must be followed by third-party casters of the DPC Championships in North America and Western Europe. These requirements must be adhered to by all community casters if they are going to broadcast competitions on their channels.

  • Community casters can only make official broadcasts through DotaTV. Showing any officially created streams, including those available in the game (re-broadcast), is not allowed
  • Community casting is only allowed in a non-commercial form, so you can not post any branded and sponsored materials
  • By default, unlicensed commercial broadcasters (linear and digital) are not allowed to act as community casters
  • Individual broadcasts made by hired members of the non-partner community of commercial broadcasters also qualify as commercial broadcasts and are therefore not allowed.
  • Inform viewers that the views, thoughts and opinions expressed in the broadcast belong only to you and not to the tournament organizers
  • You must not claim to represent PGL, Valve or DPC in any way

The tournament operator also reserves the right to change the rules of the community cast at its own discretion.
