Dota 2 has become the leader in the number of prize money played among all disciplines
Dota 2 has become the leader in the number of raffled prizes among all esports disciplines - in 2022, over $32 million in prize money was raffled here. The well-known analytical service Esports Charts shared similar data.
As before, Dota 2 stood out thanks to The International — this year, $18,930,775 were raffled off at the championship. In addition, each of the three DPC tours (both divisions) in six regions added $280,000. Last season, they also held two majors in Stockholm and Arlington, as well as regional finals due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The discipline PUBG Mobile is on the second line, where about $24.4 million were played. The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 stands out here, which offers participants a prize pool of $4,000,000. The third place went to Arena of Valor — the mobile discipline competed for $18.6 million in prize money.
Last year, CS:GO remained only in fourth place, where $14.8 million were played. Two $1 million majors, as well as the final championship from BLAST, significantly improved the discipline in the list. In turn, Rainbow Six, League of Legends and VALORANT took the eighth, ninth and tenth lines, respectively.
