Royal Never Give Up announced line-up for the season

The Chinese esports club Royal Never Give Up has updated its roster for the upcoming season on the official Dota 2 team registration website. The interests of the team will be represented by a completely new five players. Earlier, the organization Geek Fam returned to Dota 2 after a long break.

Royal Never Give Up signed players from teams such as Team Fusion, Nigma Galaxy SEA and ShenZhen. XCJ and Flyby played for Team Fusion. The team can only boast of a 6th place at the DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division II and a disastrous performance in the Chinese qualifiers at The International 2022.

FelixCiaoBa played for RNGU until May of this year, and then went inactive. Together with him, Royal Never Give Up took 3rd place at DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division I, 2nd place at DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Final and 4th place at DPC CN 2021/ 2022 Tour 2: Division I.

Malaysian representative AlaCrity competed for Nigma Galaxy SEA. The team rose to the first division of Southeast Asia, and left it after one round. Due to the disappointing results, Nigma disbanded their roster in the Asian region.

eGo played this year for the ShenZhen team. 4th place at DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division II and DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division II is the best result of a player over the past season.

Royal Never Give Up had a great DPC 2021/2022 season and came to The International 2022 as one of the championship favorites. But due to the fact that almost the entire roster fell ill with COVID-19 during the tournament, RNGU could only take 13th-16th place.

The new line-up of Royal Never Give Up is shown below:

  • eGo
  • AlaCrity
  • flyby

  • XCJ

Recall that The International 2022 was held in Singapore from October 15 to 30 of this year. The venues were Suntec Singapore and Singapore Indoor Stadium. 20 teams competed for a prize pool of $18,930,775. Tundra Esports became the world champions, earning $8,518,822.
