Ryoya retires from Dota 2
On July 2, American professional player Eric Dong, better known as “Ryoya”, announced his retirement from the professional scene on his social media. He began his journey in the competitive arena in 2014, first appearing in Boreal eSports, where he became famous for his excellent play as a mid player.
During his long career, he managed to visit many clubs, the most famous of which are: compLexity Gaming, VGJ.Storm, beastcoast, and also played several matches as a substitute in Evil Geniuses.
Ryoya's last team was simply TOOBASED, which he left along with the other three members at the end of May.
For 8 years in professional Dota, being a member of many teams, he has earned several achievements in various tournaments: first places at DOTA Summit 13 Online: Americas, BTS Pro Series: Americas, ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: North America, as well as 3- 4th place at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 1.
Judging by his words, Eric is tired of the game, and no longer gets the same pleasure.
Dota retired, no longer having the same fun as before. Thank you to everyone and everyone I met along the way for the memories.
July brings us the second unhappy news about the departure of professional players, we previously wrote about EternalEnvy, who also ended his career.
