Pieliedie joined Team SMG

The management of Team SMG esports club announced that the Dota 2 roster was completed and ready to participate in the upcoming DPC 2021/2022 SEA Division I matches. Swede Johan 'pieliedie' Aström became the fifth player in the roster. He will now perform alongside Yake 'MidOne' Nai Zheng, Kam 'Moon' Boon Seng, Ryan 'Raging Potato' JK and Chu 'ah fu' Sun Chuan.

On May 20, support and team captain Michael 'ninjaboogie' Ross Jr. left the team. His place was now taken by the pieliedie.

Team SMG will take part in DPC 2021/2022 SEA Division I and compete with other participants for three invitations to PGL Arlington Major 2022 with a prize pool of $500,000. In addition to SMGs themselves, Fnatic, BOOM Esports, Polaris Esports, Nigma Galaxy SEA, RSG and Talon Esports take part in the league. The last two participants, by the way, made their way through the second division.

DPC 2021/2022 Tour 3 SEA Division I runs from June 8 to July 14. The total prize fund of the championship is $205,000. The teams that take 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the standings will receive invitations to PGL Arlington Major 2022, as well as $30,000, $28,000 and $27,000 rewards, respectively. They will also receive 500, 300 and 200 Dota Pro Circuit ranking points respectively. SMG will perform in one of the debut matches that will take place today.
