pieliedie joins Team SMG
The Team SMG roster has been updated on the DPC 2021/2022 roster registration site. It was replenished with a native of Sweden, Johan 'pieliedie' Åström, who now has to move to Southeast Asia. Thus, Team SMG completed their team for participation in the final part of the DPC SEA 2021/2022.
Pieliedie became the replacement for Michael 'ninjaboogie' Ross Jr. The departure of ninjaboogie from the squad was associated with a scandal that negatively affected the club's reputation. The fact is that ninjaboogie was forced to stay at home before arriving at the bootcamp, because his mother had a heart attack. Despite the fact that the player informed that he would have time to arrive in time for the start of the bootcamp, although this would happen a few days later, he was informed that the team would continue to play without him.
The Swedish esportsman has already played with the team at BTS Pro Series Season 10: Southeast Asia, but Team SMG took 9th place there and earned $750, which can hardly be called a serious success.
Team SMG in the previous part of the DPC season played in the first division, where they stopped a step away from relegation to the second division, namely in 6th place. This result brought the team $24,000.
The current Team SMG roster is as follows:
- midone;
- moon;
- Raging Potato;
- ah fu;
- pieliedie.
