Team Empire updated their Dota 2 roster

Representatives of the Russian eSports club reported that they made another change in the Dota 2 roster in the hope of improving the results. Recall that on May 13, Vladislav 'Antares' Kertman was put on the bench, and on the 18th the same fate overtook Zaur 'Cooman' Shakhmurzaev.

Newcomers to the team are Arslan 'Retrograde' Shadzhanov, Andrey 'meLes' Romanov, Danil 'illusion' Grzhevka and Stanislav '633' Glushan. It is noteworthy that the latter will not only coordinate in the team during the in-game process, but also maintain the team spirit outside the game and act as a coach. The incoming quartet will join Amir 'Dodren' Akmollin, who signed a contract with the club on March 6.

The last roster was assembled on March 6 and in two and a half months the roster managed to play in only two championships. The team fought in the eighth and ninth seasons of Dota 2 Champions League. The prize fund of each of them was $50,000. There Empire failed to show an excellent performance and took 9-12 in both events. For their efforts, they received a consolation prize of $500 per team.

Now, with a complete rethinking of the roster and dramatic changes, management believes that esports players will start to show better results in tournaments.

Team Empire are currently participating in the second division of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 Eastern Europe Tour 2. They will fight for the right to enter the top division and a reward of $8,000-$8,500 with teams such as Wayfareres, HYDRA, Rune Eaters Esports, One Move, Nemiga Gaming, No Sorry and cybercats.

The Dota 2 professional league for CIS teams started on May 19th and will end on May 22nd. The top two teams will be able to earn the main rewards of $8,000 and $8,500 and will have the opportunity to play in the first division of the third round of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 Eastern Europe, where they will be able to compete for advancement to the next Major tournament. The total prize pool of the DPC 2021/2022 EEU Division II is $37,500.

Team Empire managed to debut with a new roster at this event. The team played in the first round of the upper bracket against No Sorry and defeated their opponent in a Bo3 match with a score of 2-1. In the next showdown, Illusion and his teammates will take on HYDRA representatives.
