On the night of December 15, Dota 2 fans received a nice gift. Valve has released the Aghanim's Labyrant: Arcane Continuum update, which includes a PvE event with an Archmage, as well as a fresh battle pass.

Anyone can play Aghanim's Labyrinth. The event itself is, oddly enough, a labyrinth with various tasks and obstacles.

After successfully passing the rooms, players choose rewards (improved characteristics, skills) and one of the proposed paths for further immersion deep into the labyrinth. The final boss of the event will be the Primal Beast, after defeating which players will unlock one of the previously selected fragments that power up the characters during the second run.

The second major innovation in the Aghanim's Labyrinth: Sorcerous Continuum update is a fresh battle pass. In the winter battle pass, in addition to the standard immortal treasures, taunts for characters and seasonal creeps, two chests with epic sets were added, as well as the ability to unlock new heroes for the passage of the "Labyrinth of Aghanim".

The premium awards were a persona in the style of the series "DOTA: Dragon's Blood" on Mirana, a set on Hoodwink and a lasso on Drow Ranger. The first item is available at Battle Pass Level 135, the second item at Battle Pass Level 277, and the Drow Ranger Skin at Battle Pass Level 333.

There are 500 levels in total in the Battle Pass. After reaching the maximum mark in the compendium pumping tape, treasury rewards will repeat at intervals of 5 levels.

Another not noticeable, but important innovation of the update is support for controllers. Dota 2 will now be playable with gamepads, hinting at a potential MOBA port on consoles and other platforms in the future.
