Winter Battle Pass 2021 Review: Aghanim's Labyrinth: Arcane Continuum

On the night of December 15, the Dota 2 update "Aghanim's Labyrinth: Witchcraft Continuum" was released. Together with him, a new Battle Pass was added to the game.

The release of a fresh compendium is always a big event for the game community. Valve is not greedy for in-game events and other mechanics of retention of players, and therefore the release of the Battle Pass once every six months or a year is already perceived as a holiday.

The Winter Battle Pass 2021 is the second this year, after the War Pass, which was released this summer. Valve continues to expand on the idea of adding paid alternative skins for characters, as well as exclusive Arcane items that cannot be obtained after the pass expires.

Battle Pass Types

As always, the new product can be purchased in three versions: a regular level 1 battle pass, a level 50 battle pass, and a level 100 battle pass. The first bundle will set you back $ 7.49, the second at $ 27.99 and the third at $ 41.99.

Cosmetic filling

With the new Battle Pass, a ton of cosmetic items have been added to the game. Some of them are in the treasuries, which this time there are as many as 3 types.

• The first is a classic immortal treasure with 6 common quality items, 1 rare, 2 very rare and 1 extremely rare event emblem.

• The second is the Continuum Collection treasure with 6 normal quality sets, 1 rare quality set, 1 incredibly rare quality set, and the same extremely rare quality emblem.

• The third is the Ageless Heirlooms treasure, with 7 normal quality sets, 1 rare set, 1 very rare, 1 incredibly rare, and an extremely rare emblem.

Chests are the lion's share of the rewards in the reward line, which here lasts up to level 500 of the Battle Pass. At high levels, incentive items are issued less than once per level of pumping.

Premium items

There are three premium items in the Winter 2021 Battle Pass that will not be available after the pass expires on February 23, 2022.

• Person "Mirana of the Silvery Forest" - the item unlocks at level 135 Battle Pass, and also has an alternative style at level 235.

• Hoodwink Tomo'Kan Incarnate - Unlocked at Battle Pass Level 277. Contains 4 immortal items that change the animation of the "Scurry" ability.

• Dread Retribution Arcana for Drow Ranger - unlocked at Battle Pass level 333 and has two styles.

The Drow Ranger Arcana changes the hero model, adds new visual effects when using Hurricane Pike and Daedalus items, changes ability animations, adds a new hero icon and mini-map portrait, over 800 unique exclusive replicas, and an unlockable style that can be obtained. having committed revenge 100 times.

Catacombs

This Battle Pass was not without the classic catacombs. Everything is as usual: three sections with three awards at the end of each.

Kerry Section - Augur of Oblivion reward set with two styles on Faceless Void.

Team Section - Trapping of the Old-Times reward set with two styles on Bounty Hunter.

Support Section - Haven of the Hinterheat reward set with two styles for Treant Protector.

Sets are opened after passing a certain number of rooms in each of the sections. This is a kind of test of "All Heroes", where in order to advance further, you need to win on a certain character.

In addition, as you go through the catacombs, you will come across additional items such as a signal fire and an ax, which will help you bypass difficult areas or enlighten closed parts of the map. Also, for completing the complete passage of the catacombs, you can get 31 Battle Pass level and 15,625 Dota Plus shards.

Aghanim's gifts

The Winter Battle Pass 2021 introduces the Gifts of Aghanim. This section is intended for fans of the PvE mode.

The gifts of Aghanim in their structure resemble the Catacombs with various branches and awards. These rewards are not cosmetic, but will help in passing the levels of the "Labyrinth".

Each week by playing the Aghanim's Labyrinth, you can earn 2 levels of the Battle Pass. In addition to Battle Pass points, you will earn fragments that can be spent on upgrades needed to complete the PvE event.
