Smiling Knight became a free agent
Alexey 'Smiling Knight' Sviridov, who sat on the bench on September 24, was relieved of his duties to the esports organization and became a free agent. Team Empire representatives reported this on social networks. Sviridov joined Empire on June 14, 2020. As part of Team Empire, he took part in many events, and also achieved several interesting results during this time. At ESL One CIS Online Season 1: Upper Division, Alexey and his teammates took 7th place and received $ 23,000 as a reward. This result forced Empire to go down to the lower bracket of the next season of the ESL One tournament series, but the team performed very well there. With the help of Smiling Knight, Empire reached the second place in the tournament table and received a reward of $ 16,000.
Empire recently announced the departure of Oleg 'sayuw' Kalenbet. Now only two players remain on the Team Empire roster: Ivan 'VANSKOR' Skorokhod, who is in fifth position, and mid-laneer Gleb 'depressed kid' Zyryanov. The latter, by the way, was rented from Team Unique, where Rostislav 'fn' Lozovoy is playing on the middle line instead of the depressed kid. There is no information yet on how the Team Empire line-up will be staffed. The club management will tell about the plans later.
This change in Empire is probably not the last one for those players who are currently on the Dota roster and certainly not the last one for the CIS scene. Dmitry 'Korb3n' Belov said that after the end of The International 10, the entire CIS scene is likely to be turned upside down and a great reshuffle will take place among the e-sports clubs of the post-Soviet space.
Team Empire Roster
- Gleb 'depressed kid' Zyryanov (on loan from Team Unique)
