HUNDEN: "Some players knew about the bug"
Former Heroic coach Nikolay "HUNDEN" Petersen revealed that he discussed with Heroic players the use of the "coach bug" in official matches. In an interview with TV2.dk, he stated that some players of that roster knew about the bug back in 2020, but decided to hide this fact from the community.
Some players were aware of the bug. I will not name any names because I think it depends on the players themselves.
Interestingly, the 30-year-old specialist previously held a different position. At the time of receiving the ban, he stated that he acted without the knowledge of the team. But when reporters asked why he is now providing new information, HUNDEN replied that "he went into too deep a hole and he has nothing more to hide."
In turn, Heroic CEO Joachim Haraldsen denied these allegations:"The 'coaching bug' was thoroughly investigated by ESIC. The Commission found HUNDEN guilty of breaking the rules. At the time, he explained in a written statement," that he acted alone and without the knowledge teammates "".
Haraldsen himself is convinced that the former coach is trying to blame the players for his own wrongdoing due to the conflict with the organization.
In support of his words, HUNDEN provided TV2.dk with some documents, which were reviewed behind closed doors. After examining them, commentator Pimp stated that Heroic players could indeed be aware of the bug and openly discuss its use.
Note that the investigation into the transfer of strategies to a competitor has already been completed, and ESIC will present its verdict on Friday, August 27th. HUNDEN is expected to receive a two-year ban.
