pita becomes Copenhagen Flames coach
Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames announced the appointment of pita to the position of CS: GO coach. At the same time, Copenhagen Flames is filling the hole left by the departure of the previous djL head coach in July.
pita began his journey in the early years of CS: GO, playing for teams such as Team X, Absolute Legends, Lemondogs and SK Gaming. However, in 2014, the Bosnian switched to the role of coach in NiP, together with which he immediately won the first and only major trophy for the organization - ESL One Cologne 2014.
After leaving the Swedish organization, he joined CLG as head coach. Together with the North American team, the specialist failed to reach noticeable heights, being remembered only by reaching the quarterfinals of MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016.
Ultimately, pita will return to NiP, albeit in 2018. This time, the return turned out to be modest in terms of trophies, since the team itself was going through hard times. As a result, the Bosnian led the team to victory at the Europe Minor Championship - London 2018 and Esports Championship Series Season 7 - Europe, as well as silver in the BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2018 and BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2019.
At the beginning of last year, pita was banned from the team, in addition receiving a 5.5-month ban from ESIC for using a "coaching bug". From that moment on, the 30-year-old specialist remained in the shadows, choosing the best option to return to the stage.
From now on, the roster of Copenhagen Flames is as follows:
- HooXi.
- Zyphon.
- Jabbi.
- Nicoodoz.
- RoeJ.
- pita (trainer).
