Journalists from the Fragbite portal found out that the esportsman playing CS: GO did not inform the authorities that five years ago he earned more than 1,000,000 Swedish kronor (~ $ 120,000). Robin said that the non-payment of taxes was unintentional, but, nevertheless, the fine will be required to pay.
Sweden has a law that earned money from esports championships is counted as income, which must be declared and taxed. According to the law, the tax rate on income over SEK 676,700 (~ $ 78,600) is 57%. In this case, flusha must pay the government the annoying tax along with a surcharge of 40% (~ $ 23,300).
It is noteworthy that for such an act, Robin Rönnqvist should receive 4 months in prison, but the Swede was lucky - he got off with 120 hours of community service.
