Bad News Eagles to Disband After IESF 2025, Closing a Chapter of Underdog Greatness

Bad News Eagles have announced that they will part ways following the upcoming IESF tournament, bringing an end to a remarkable three-year run as one of the most iconic unsigned teams in CS:GO and CS2 history.

Formed in March 2022, the Kosovar roster made headlines with a fairytale rise — climbing from the RMR to the Legends Stage at PGL Major Antwerp. Their unexpected success quickly turned them into fan favorites.

The momentum continued with back-to-back Major appearances at IEM Rio and the Paris Major. At Rio, they famously eliminated FaZe Clan during the Legends Stage — a victory that helped them land a contract with GUILD Esports just ahead of the PGL Major Copenhagen.

However, their run under the Guild Eagles banner was short-lived. The team failed to qualify for Copenhagen and struggled in online events. GUILD ended the partnership in May 2024, leading to a temporary split. By January, the original roster reunited once more under the Bad News Eagles name — but now, that journey is nearing its end.
