ALTERNATE aTTaX Exits Counter-Strike, Disbands Current Roster

German esports organization ALTERNATE aTTaX has officially announced its complete withdrawal from the Counter-Strike scene, releasing its active roster and allowing players to explore new opportunities. The decision marks a significant shift for the long-standing org, which has been a familiar name in the competitive CS landscape for years.

A Strategic Exit from CS

This development follows a "strategic realignment" announced in October of the previous year, when ALTERNATE aTTaX let go of their then-active roster in favor of the core of Team Reveal, while also promoting Florian "FoG" Gloddek from their academy team.

Despite these changes, the organization has determined that Counter-Strike no longer provides the right foundation — competitively or financially — to support a sustainable long-term project.

“At the turn of the year, we announced our withdrawal from professional Counter-Strike — combined with the ambition to build a new, sustainable and ambitious project,” the organization stated.“Despite our great passion for Counter-Strike, we had to realise that the title does not currently offer the necessary basis, either economically or from a sporting perspective, to set up a long-term sustainable project.”

Minimal Activity in 2025

The most recent iteration of ALTERNATE aTTaX’s roster played only three official matches on HLTV this year, earning a third-place finish in DACH Masters Season 3. The team also participated in ESEA Main Europe Seasons 52 and 53, but failed to make notable progress in either competition.

The following players composed the last active ALTERNATE aTTaX lineup:

As of now, ALTERNATE aTTaX will not field a CS roster "for the time being." The future of the players remains open, as they are now free to pursue offers from other organizations.
