Counter-Strike 2 Sets New Concurrent Player Record

The tactical shooter Counter-Strike 2 has achieved a new milestone, setting a fresh record for concurrent players.

On February 16, 2025, the game recorded 1,743,533 players online at the same time, as confirmed by SteamCharts. This feat comes after two months of steady growth, surpassing the previous record set on December 15, 2024, during the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

Despite this impressive achievement, the all-time peak remains unbroken. The highest concurrent player count was recorded in May 2023, when CS2 attracted 1,802,853 players at once. This surge coincided with the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, one of the most significant tournaments in the game's history.

With Counter-Strike 2 continuing to grow in popularity, future tournaments and updates could see even greater records being set.
