RMN and Shr will leave SAW

SAW has officially announced the departure of Ricardo "RMN" Oliveira and José "Shr" Gil, with both players set to leave the team following their final appearance at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025. Their exit marks the end of an era for the Portuguese squad. According to the organization, this decision was made in alignment with the roster submission deadline for ESL Pro League 21.

For RMN, this departure concludes a five-year tenure with SAW. The 32-year-old veteran has experienced both triumphs and setbacks with the team, including a top-four finish at IEM Cologne 2024. Meanwhile, Shr’s time with SAW was brief, spanning less than three months since his late-2024 arrival. His performances fell short of expectations, as reflected in his underwhelming statistics.

After deep reflection within the CS2 roster about the future, we have decided that it is time to end this cycle at SAW. After PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, RMN and Shr will no longer be part of the main lineup. These are painful changes not only for the team but also for everyone who has followed us over the years. — stated the official club announcement.

The team had already undergone major roster changes at the end of last year when key players Rafael 'arrozdoce' Wing and Michel 'ewjerkz' Pinto parted ways with SAW. Following the latter’s exit, the team’s performance took a sharp downturn — SAW lost five of their six matches in 2025 and failed to secure a single map at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 and IEM Katowice 2025, finishing both events in last place.

As for RMN and Shr’s replacements, no official names have been revealed yet. However, the organization is expected to announce its updated lineup ahead of the fast-approaching ESL Pro League 21. Once their departure is finalized, the roster will be as follows:

  • Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes
  • João "story" Vieira
  • André "Ag1l" Gil
  • Maikil "Golden" Selim (Coach)
