S1mple's Monumental Dedication: 23,476 Hours Logged in CS:GO Ahead of CS2 Launch
With the imminent release of Counter-Strike 2, fans are bidding farewell to CS:GO, and ESL recently highlighted just how much time s1mple, often considered the greatest CS:GO player of all time, has devoted to the game. In a Twitter post, ESL revealed that the Ukrainian player has logged an impressive 23,476 hours in CS:GO, averaging around six hours of play each day since the game's 2012 release. This staggering number equates to approximately 978 days of gameplay.
However, such dedication is hardly surprising coming from s1mple. He has been an active player since 2013, gaining recognition in 2014 and 2015 while playing for HellRaisers and FlipSid3 Tactics, respectively. Since 2016, s1mple has been a key player for Natus Vincere (Na'Vi), leading the Ukrainian organization to numerous tournament victories, including the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, during the NAVI era.
S1mple's status as the best CS:GO player in history has been widely acknowledged, and with the release of CS2 on the horizon, it's likely that this reputation will remain intact. He remains the only professional player to claim the top spot in HLTV's Best of the Year ranking three times, achieving this honor in 2018, 2021, and 2022.
As CS2 is set to launch on September 27, it's safe to assume that s1mple will continue to lead the race for the most hours invested in the new game, showcasing his unwavering commitment to the world of Counter-Strike.
