S1mple Recognized as the Best Player in CS:GO History by HLTV
The analytical platform HLTV conducted a study to determine the best player in the history of CS:GO, and the survey results pointed to NAVI's sniper, Alexander Kostylev, better known as s1mple.
"According to HLTV, s1mple has emerged victorious in major tournaments, including the Intel Grand Slam series, even in a partial online format. He boasts the highest number of MVP awards, leads the ranking of the top 20 players of the year, and maintains the highest overall rating in major tournaments. Notably, even ZywOo cannot rival his outstanding achievements (excluding the rating), which s1mple has sustained at the highest level longer than any other player.
He embodies the perfect blend of dedication and talent. With 23,476 hours invested in CS:GO, averaging nearly six hours a day since the game's release, he has maximized the benefit of his extensive experience. It is almost unquestionable that s1mple is regarded as the greatest player in the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive."
Criteria for determining the best player:
- Individual performance during their peak professional activity.
- The duration of a player's presence in the top player rankings and their position in the top 20 player rankings each year.
- Achievements in both team and individual performance at tournaments.
