00NATION Chooses to Empower Brazilian Division to Pursue Independent Path
In a significant move, 00NATION has declared its decision to discontinue operations within its Brazilian sector, allowing players and staff to transition to a locally-based Brazilian organization.
This decision comes on the heels of recent reports earlier this month that 00NATION was in discussions to potentially sign a European lineup led by Thomas "birdfromsky" Due-Frederiksen. This prospective lineup included prominent names such as Florian "syrsoN" Rische and Jon "JDC" de Castro.
Citing the pressures that emerged from simultaneously nurturing two distinct entities—one in Brazil and the other in Europe—the official announcement acknowledged, "[We]concluded that transferring Brazilian operations to the hands of Brazilian management and investors would be the most pragmatic course of action."
As the organization charts its new trajectory, the statement emphasized that the upcoming initiative will be entirely Brazilian in nature. The forthcoming endeavor will encompass all existing lineups, complemented by the staff, within this fresh entity.
Originating from Norway, 00NATION has historically maintained dual squads—a Brazilian roster under 00NATION and a European cohort through PROSPECTS, a designated academy project. Notably, the organization had recently severed ties with its former PROSPECTS lineup in July.
Presently, the departing Brazilian roster under 00NATION comprises:
- Marcelo "coldzera" David
- Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer
- Bruno "latto" Rebelatto
- Lucas "nqz" Soares
- Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato
Additionally, Olavo "chucky" Napoleão serves as the coach, while Epitacio "TACO" de Melo occupies a benched position within the team.
This strategic maneuver underscores 00NATION's commitment to fostering a more focused and locally driven approach in its operations, reflecting the dynamic and evolving landscape of the esports realm.
