The graphics will also be significantly enhanced due to the transition to the Source 2 engine. Familiar maps will be rejuvenated with new details and visual effects that have been created from scratch. The spatial sound has also been improved to deliver a more accurate and realistic audio experience during gameplay.

The most important news for CS:GO enthusiasts is that they will be able to upgrade to Counter-Strike 2 for free, and all of their previously acquired items will be transferred over as part of the transition.
