nexa leaves OG starting roster for personal reasons
The European esports organization OG has announced forced changes in its CS:GO roster. As a result, nexa leaves the club's starting lineup and is forced to retire for personal reasons. It is reported that niko will take his place on the server as part of the upcoming closed qualifiers for the RMR tournament.
nexa will temporarily leave the team for personal reasons. The team is still determined to qualify for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and is currently going to a week-long bootcamp in Warsaw. We are pleased to announce that niko will be temporarily joining the starting lineup for the remainder of the qualifiers starting tomorrow's closed qualifiers.
nexa joined the OG roster in early 2022. During the season, the 25-year-old Serbian captain helped the team win BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022 and BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022, as well as get into the top three at Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022, BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, CCT Central Europe Series # 2 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.
In turn, niko is a former OG player who was released from the contract with the organization at the beginning of 2023. Together with the team, the 24-year-old Danish esportsman became the winner of Spring Sweet Spring #2 and BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022, and also made it to the top three at Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Summer, ESL Pro League Season 14 and BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2021.
It is not known how long the "vacation" of the Serbian player will last, since after the qualifiers the team will have to go to Malta to take part in the ESL Pro League Season 17. In addition, at the end of March, OG will perform in BLAST Premier: Spring European Showdown 2023.
