Zyphon leaves Sprout starting roster
The German esports organization Sprout has announced changes to the starting lineup for the CS:GO discipline. As a result, the club made the decision to move Zyphon to the bench. However, refrezh will take on the role of the Dane, while Maze will be the new team captain. It is reported that the changes are of a test nature and additional rearrangements may occur.
We are announcing changes in the CS:GO roster. The team will go through a trial process with several players, as a result Zyphon is currently on the bench. In addition, refrezh will take over his role and Maze will join as captain for the closed qualifiers for IEM Brazil 2023.
Zyphon joined the Sprout roster last summer, having moved from the Copenhagen Flames. For six months, a 19-year-old Danish player made it to the top three at Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022: European RMR A, Elisa Masters Espoo 2022, ESL Challenger League Season 43: Europe and ESL Meisterschaft: Autumn 2022, and also took part in Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022.
However, Sprout had an unintelligible start to the new season, failing several championships, including the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023. To remedy the situation, the club invites Maze, who played for the Fnatic Rising team last season, winning the WePlay Academy League Season 5. However, the 21-year-old Dane recently became a player in Let Us Cook, the new Snax roster.
In the updated format, Sprout will make its debut as part of the closed qualifiers for IEM Brazil 2023, which will begin tomorrow, February 8th. Here the team will compete for two tickets to the upcoming tournament in Brazil.
