Fadey leaves the ATK team
South African esports organization ATK has announced changes to its CS:GO roster, saying goodbye to Fadey. The 24-year-old South African has been with the team since April 2019, but was recently forced to put his career on hold due to an upcoming operation.
ATK would like to say a warm goodbye to Fadey as we part ways with him ahead of ESL Pro League Season 17. Our fans know Fadey as a star player and a great person. Please support him while he recovers from surgery. Thank you Fadey!
Fadey has been playing for ATK since April 2019. Together with the team, the 24-year-old South African player became the winner of ESL Challenger League Season 42: North America, and also made it to the top three at ESL Challenger League Season 41: North America and Ace North American Masters: Spring 2022.
However, at the start of the new season, Fadey was forced to leave the team to take care of his health. In addition, in his message, the South African noted that he was under a lot of stress from the competition, as he greatly lacked time for his family. Now the cybersportsman plans to recover from the operation, as well as devote more time to study and his loved ones.
This decision comes before the start of ESL Pro League Season 17, where the ATK team qualified thanks to the victory in the Conference for North America. It is reported that Pluto, who has already managed to join the club at the ESEA site, will join the team.
ESL Pro League Season 17 will take place from February 22 to March 26 in Malta. Team ATK got into group D, which also includes Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, Team Spirit, Astralis, forZe, ENCE and Rare Atom.
Estimated ATK roster for the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 17:
- Swisher
- MisteM
- b0denmaste
- DJ
- Pluto (stand-in)
- sprayxd (head coach)
