zakk becomes the new coach of Imperial Esports

The Brazilian esports organization Imperial Esports has announced the appointment of zakk as the head coach of the CS:GO roster. In this role, the 31-year-old Brazilian specialist will take over from fnx, who intends to leave the club and resume his career as a professional player. Remarkably, the organization managed to sign such a well-known specialist for free, since he left 9z as a free agent on December 31 last year.

Who asked for a coach? Today we welcome our new coach zakk who is joining Imperial Esports to help and guide us towards our goals! Welcome zak.

zakk has spent the last three years as the head coach of 9z. During this time, the 31-year-old Brazilian specialist helped the team become the winner of WESG 2021 Latin America: LatAM South, FiReLEAGUE 2021, BLAST Rising LATAM 2021 and FiReLEAGUE 2022: Argentinian League, as well as get into the top three at DreamHack Open September 2021: South America, ESL Challenger #48, CCT South America Series #1, Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022: American RMR and FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals.

In addition, under his leadership, 9z made it to PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, where they got several victories and established themselves on the world stage.

In turn, after the departure of peacemaker, fnx volunteered to lead the team. However, in the second half of the season, the results of Imperial Esports deteriorated noticeably, while the Brazilian himself was clearly not eager to continue his career in this role. The future of fnx is still hidden, but the esportsman has made it clear that he will leave the organization and resume his playing career.

Note that the day before, the Imperial Esports organization also announced the signing of JOTA from MIBR, which replaced fer. The debut of the Brazilian team will take place as part of the ESL Pro League Season 17: South American Conference, which will be held online from January 18 to 20.

Updated Imperial Esports CS:GO roster:

  • FalleN
  • JOTA
