OG disbands youth CS:GO roster

The European esports organization OG announced the parting with its youth roster in the CS:GO discipline. According to the club, in the future, management will explore the following options, but the main focus will be on the development of the first team. However, OG has promised to return in the future if the opportunity arises.

With 2023 shaping up to be a busy year, we have made the decision to focus on our first team. The development of young talents is important to us, and it would be wrong not to give it due attention and time. 2023 will be a year of reflection on our next development projects with the intention of proposing an even more successful project in the future.

All players are now free agents and can explore new opportunities. Marix, already announced several times as a replacement in our main team, remains under contract with OG.

As for crisbyyy, he has been promoted to first team analyst. His experience and thoroughness will be of great help to strengthen our coaching staff.

We would like to thank all the players who were involved in the project. It has been very interesting to see their progress and we hope to see them back on the track as soon as possible. We also express our deep gratitude to WePlay and their staff, who, despite the extremely difficult situation, managed to maintain the continuity of this wonderful product, which is the WePlay Academy League. We were honored to be a part of it in 2022 and we look forward to returning in the future.

As part of the overdue changes, the organization is parting ways with seven players, with the exception of Marix, who will remain at the club and serve as a reserve player for the first team. Also, coach crisbyyy was promoted to OG main roster analyst.

Thus, the OG Academy project will be frozen in 2023 until further notice from the club.

The OG organization formed a youth roster in May last year. During this time, the European team took second place at ESEA Cash Cup: Europe - Summer 2022 #1, and also took part in three seasons of the WePlay Academy League.
