THREAT left Ninjas in Pajamas after six years
The Swedish esports organization Ninjas in Pajamas has announced its parting ways with THREAT. The 34-year-old Swedish specialist is leaving the club after six years in the organization as a player, coach and technical director.
We are grateful for everything you have done for Ninjas in Pajamas and will always be grateful for your time and dedication to "ninja" and we look forward to following your journey. Thanks for everything, THREAT.
The history of THREAT and Ninjas in Pajamas began in the spring of 2016, when the Swede, who had recently retired from his career, agreed to help the team in the MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016.
At the same time, THREAT took over the leadership of the Swedish club, with which he will work for four and a half seasons with a break from 2018 to 2019. Under his leadership, Ninjas in Pajamas became the winner of DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016, DreamHack Open Valencia 2017, Intel Extreme Masters XII - Oakland and Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Fall: Europe, and also got into the TOP-3 at ESL Pro League Season 3 - Finals, DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017, ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online - Europe, ESL Pro League Season 13 and Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Winter.
However, at the end of 2021, the 34-year-old Swedish specialist stepped down as head coach to take over the duties of the club's technical director and make room for the djL who arrived in time. In his new role, THREAT worked throughout the past season, being responsible for various structures within the organization, including youth and women's squads.
It's thrilling and dark at the same time as I can now announce that Ninjas in Pajamas and I have decided to go our separate ways. Trying out for a new role last year was rewarding, but I truly miss working closely with a more direct impact team. A big thank you to all the Ninjas in Pajamas staff who were absolutely amazing, to everyone involved with Young Ninjas and Ninjas in Pajamas Female, and of course the core team, I will miss you all! With that said, I'm very excited about the new features ahead in 2023!
In his Twitter, the Swede noted that he missed the duties of the head coach. In this regard, there is a possibility to see THREAT as a coach of one of the teams in the new season.
In turn, Ninjas in Pajamas has yet to prepare for the new season by looking for a sniper. The organization recently said goodbye to es3tag, which is being replaced by headtr1ck. The nearest championship for the Swedish team is Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023, which starts at the end of January.
