smooya reveals his salary while playing for BIG and fnatic

British sniper smooya has revealed his salary while playing for teams BIG and fnatic. As part of a recent stream, a professional player revealed that he was making great money, but now he does not intend to return to the stage due to the large earnings from Twitch.

At BIG, I initially received €2,500 a month. The salary was the same even when we were fifth in the world rankings. When I joined the squad for the second time, I received £5,500, which was then €7,000. While on the bench, BIG's salary was €3,000. At Chaos I got $10,000 and at fnatic I got paid $3,000.

During his story, smooya did not forget to mention interesting details of the contract with the fmatic organization. According to the 23-year-old Briton, the club took a significant part of the income from sponsors.

Before moving to fnatic, I had sponsors who paid $45,000 for three months of work. They paid the full amount right away. fnatic contacted me when my sponsorship contract was six weeks old and told me that if I wanted to be part of the team, I had to drop all sponsors on my streams. For all my time at fnatic, I received $12,000 as a salary, but at the same time I had to give sponsors $22,000 in order to sign a contract with the club. So I paid to play for fnatic. Do you understand how crazy this is? During the same period, I could have made about $58,000 on streams, but the patch and prizes in fnatic brought me about $30,000. It's still cool, because the time in the team helped my brand and was a good lesson.

Smooya also spoke about the current salaries at fnatic. In particular, the Briton hinted that KRIMZ receives about €40,000 per month.

If I could make $15,000 playing on a decent team, or even $10,000, I would play for them. But no team wants to take risks and sign a contract with me. They say I'm a risk to their brand. For example, fnatic has a player, I won't name him, but he is paid €40,000. When I played for the team, I was on probation.

Recall that smooya announced himself in 2018, when he joined the BIG team. Here, the 23-year-old Briton managed to reach the quarterfinals of FACEIT Major: London 2018, and also take second place at ESL One: Cologne 2018. The last big team of the sniper was fnatic, for which he played from October 2021 to March 2022 of the year.

However, since his departure from Into The Breach this past summer, smooya has been actively pursuing a career as a streamer. At the same time, as the player himself states, many organizations do not want to contact him because of the "risk" for the brand.
