Rumors: SANJI is being tested as part of Cloud9
According to insider OverDrive, North American esports organization Cloud9 is testing SANJI as a potential replacement for interz. Recall that the 24-year-old player from Uzbekistan spent the last year inactive, but recently announced his readiness to return to the stage.
SANJI made a name for himself thanks to his performances as part of AVANGAR, who later moved under the wing of the Virtus.pro organization. Together with the team, the 24-year-old esportsman became the winner of DreamHack Open Rio de Janeiro 2019, WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 1, BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019, Flashpoint Season 2, DreamHack Open December 2020, cs_summit 7 and Pinnacle Fall Series #1, and also reached the final of StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 and Intel Extreme Masters XV - World Championship.
However, back in October last year, SANJI left the team's starting roster and hasn't appeared on stage since. However, Sanjar returned to social media a few months ago to announce his readiness to find a new club and continue to compete.
Recall that the day before, the same OverDrive announced the likelihood of interz leaving the Cloud9 team. At the same time, Forester and donk were called potential newcomers. At the time of publication of the material, the parties did not comment on the rumors.
The next championships for Cloud9 should be Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023 and ESL Pro League Season 17. However, it is possible that the team will appear at one of the tournaments in January. However, the North American club has plenty of time to decide on the future of its squad and make changes.
