Copenhagen Flames unveil youth squad
The Danish eSports organization Copenhagen Flames has introduced a youth roster in the CS:GO discipline. Called the Flames Ascent, the club's academy project included young Danish players who had previously played locally.
We're so excited to reveal the last piece of the puzzle for our Flames 3.0 project - our Counter-Strike academy team called Flames Ascent.
Our academy project is a new step that we look forward to further development. All the players and the coach have participated in the Danish Power League for several seasons, which is a testament to their talent and level. We have been privileged to have worked with several players before, which makes us confident in their dedication and ability. Copenhagen Flames will use its resources to create a professional and structured environment in order to provide the new Flames Ascent with excellent conditions for the growth of both individuals and the team as a whole.
The first signing of the team was Inspire - a 21-year-old Dane previously played for the Linx Legacy team. Along with him, Hansi, who spent the last months of his career with DREAM Alliance, joined the Flames Ascent.
They will be accompanied by buNNy and Speedy, former players of CEPTER and AGF, respectively. The latest addition to the team was FeZ, who previously also played for AGF.
Flames Ascent will be coached by ko5te, a 25-year-old Dane who previously led the Atlantic team.
The debut of the Danish team Flames Ascent will take place as part of Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 21, which will start in September. At the same time, it is likely that the organization will try to promote its team for the next WePlay Academy League season.
Flames Ascent's CS:GO roster is as follows:
- Inspire
- Hansi
- buNNy
- Speedy
- FeZ
- ko5te (head coach)
