Copenhagen Flames Officially Reveals New Roster
The Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames has officially unveiled a new CS:GO roster. In the new iteration, the team will prepare for the second half of the 2022 season and will take part in the qualification for the European RMR tournament.
We are very pleased with our Flames 3.0 roster, which has great potential and is a continuation of our upward trajectory in the CS:GO scene. The key factor was whether we want to immediately qualify for the next Major this year - by signing an established roster - or we want to create a team ourselves with more long-term potential. We settled on the latter as we wanted to make some changes to the team structure as well as introduce a more holistic approach where players and staff could grow and develop our practices and principles together.
With this group of players, we made sure that they all agree with this approach and are motivated to work in this way. In the future, our CS:GO division will add employees in areas such as performance, data, healthcare, science and technology. Through strategic partnerships, our goal is to be among the world leaders in these areas and to create a program and environment in which players will improve day by day, regardless of their tasks and roles.
The new captain of the Copenhagen Flames is birdfromsky, who has been the permanent leader of the Lyngby Vikings/ECSTATIC for four years. During this time, the 28-year-old Dane became the champion of Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 3, Malta Vibes Knockout Series #3 and Pinnacle Fall Series #3, and also got into the top three at a number of TIER-2 championships.
Together with him, raalz joined the team, who also managed to play for the Lyngby Vikings in the past. However, the Dane spent the last year with Sprout, where he won ESL Meisterschaft: Autumn 2021, UNITED Pro Series Summer 2021, ESEA Season 39: Premier Division - Europe and ESL Meisterschaft Spring 2022.
The Copenhagen Flames sniper is regali, who has been off the radar since his departure from Fnatic Rising. At the same time, the 19-year-old Romanian once showed great promise, being considered the main star of the academy of the British organization.
The last members of the team are TMB and b0RUP, former MAD Lions players. Together, the Danish duo was remembered for getting into the TOP-3 at last year's DreamHack Open November 2021, but left the club this spring after he left the discipline.
Cube became the coach of the team. The 27-year-old Dane previously led the Fnatic Rising roster, which led to the TOP-4 at WePlay Academy League Season 4.
From now on, the CS:GO roster of Copenhagen Flames is as follows:
- bird from sky
- b0RUP
- TMB
- raalz
- Regali
- cube (head coach)
