ESIC canceled the suspension of coach 9z from the competition

According to several reputable sources at once, ESIC has canceled the suspension of the 9z coach from the competition. The clarification clarifies that upon receipt of further information from zakk, the Board has formed the opinion that a provisional suspension is no longer required pending a final decision by ESIC.

Recall that zakk was one of three coaches who were caught using a prohibited bug with a camera and recommended to be eliminated from participating in events. Later, the investigation was confirmed by the tournament operator PGL, which suspended specialists from PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

zakk has been leading 9z since March 2020. During this time, the 30-year-old Brazilian specialist helped the team win La Liga Season 3: Sur Pro Division - Apertura, WESG 2021 Latin America: LatAM South, Alpha Pro League 2021 and FiReLEAGUE 2021, among others, and also qualify for PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

However, the specialist himself was forced to sit out the major, as ESIC found him using a static variant of the bug in 1.5 rounds in two games (in 2018 and 2020) when he was coaching two different teams, Luminosity and 9z.

However, the 30-year-old Brazilian remained with the team as the Commission's investigation was advisory in nature. Currently, the specialist is with 9z at a bootcamp in Europe, where he and the team take part in the Roobet Cup 2022.

It is reported that ESIC will make a final decision on the zakk case soon. According to functionaries, at present, the 9z coach does not pose a threat to the integrity of eSports competitions.

This is not the first time the Commission has rolled back the results of its investigation. Earlier, ESIC canceled the suspension of a peacemaker who was seen using a bug in a larger case. However, the Brazilian specialist found evidence that relieves him of guilt and responsibility.
