YEKINDAR could replace shox in Team Liquid

According to analyst Richard Lewis, the European esports organization Team Liquid has joined the fight to sign YEKINDAR. The 22-year-old esportsman from Latvia is expected to replace shox, who has been planning to leave the team for several months and return to Europe.

YEKINDAR has been the main star of Virtus.pro (Outsiders) for the past two years. During this time, the 22-year-old esportsman became the winner of Flashpoint Season 2, DreamHack Open December 2020, cs_summit 7 and ESL Challenger #48, and also took second place in the Intel Extreme Masters XV - World Championship, simultaneously reaching the quarterfinals of PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

However, immediately after the end of PGL Major Antwerp 2022, the Russian club announced the departure of YEKINDAR, putting him on the transfer list. Well, the day before, the cybersportsman announced that he had agreed to leave the organization on a free basis.

In turn, shox joined Team Liquid at the end of last year, having moved from the Team Vitality camp. Initially, this transition bordered on a lot of controversy, as the Frenchman's prospects in the team looked bleak. For six months, the 29-year-old French esportsman helped the team take fifth place in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, as well as reach the quarterfinals in the ESL Pro League Season 15 and BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown 2022.

However, the Frenchman himself is dissatisfied with his position in the club. It was previously reported that shox is missing his family as he encounters difficulties flying between North America and Europe.

The next championship for the North American team will be Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne, which will start next month. At the same time, Team Liquid will start their performances immediately from the group stage.
