Heroic buys MIBR partner slot at BLAST Premier
The Danish esports organization Heroic has bought a partner slot of the Brazilian club MIBR, owned by Immortals Gaming Club, as part of the BLAST Premier championship series.
Founded in 2016, Heroic is one of the best Counter-Strike teams in the world and is currently ranked fifth in the HLTV rankings. They join other leading esports and CS:GO organizations that own BLAST Premier gaming memberships.
The Norwegian organization with a huge worldwide following has made recent strides by winning ESL Cologne Europe 2020, finishing first in ESL Pro League Season 13, finishing fourth in BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021 at Copenhagen's iconic Royal Arena and finishing 3/4 1st place in Stockholm Major 2021 and IEM Katowice 2022.
It is reported that Immortals Gaming Club, which owns the MIBR organization, made an independent decision to sell a partner slot as part of the BLAST Premier championship series. After that, an auction was held, the winner of which was the Heroic organization.
Today marks a huge milestone for the Heroic Group. Our entry into BLAST Premier gives us a unique position next to the biggest brands in our industry and a platform for collaborative growth that we strongly believe in. We are really impressed with the product that BLAST has built so far and are very excited to contribute to the continued success of the tournament as one of the 12 participants.
Joachim Haraldsen, CEO of Heroic.
Recall that MIBR was the founding team of BLAST Premier and has been playing in the tournament scheme since its inception in February 2020.
Changes are expected to take effect from the start of BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022. Currently, BLAST Premier partners are Astralis, BIG, NAVI, Heroic, Complexity, NIP, Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, OG, G2 Esports, Team Liquid and vitality.
