MAD Lions closes CS:GO division
The Spanish esports organization MAD Lions has decided to close the CS:GO division. The management of the club explained its decision by the lack of results. Note that the team presented the updated line-up just a few months ago.
Today we close the chapter on MAD Lions. After a long competition, we say goodbye to our CS:GO division as well as our current roster. We have put our players on the transfer list and will work with them to find new homes. Thanks to all the players/staff who played with us.
The first CS:GO roster of MAD Lions was formed in 2017. Over the following years, the organization performed mainly with Spanish and Danish teams. A major turnaround came in 2021, when the club announced the creation of an international team that won Esport Tour Pro Summer 2021 and Fantasyexpo EU Champions Fall 2021, and also made it to the top three at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2021 and DreamHack Open November 2021.
At the beginning of 2022, the MAD Lions roster underwent changes again, which did not help the team reach a new level. At the same time, the best achievement of the European team was the fourth place at ESEA Season 40: Advanced Division - Europe.
The latest MAD Lions CS:GO roster is as follows:
- TMB.
- jL.
- b0RUP.
- MICHU.
- somedieyoung.
- kuben (coach).
