The first season of the ESL Impact League, the new women's CS:GO championship series, has been unveiled

Tournament operator ESL presented the details of the ESL Impact League. The first season of the new Women's CS:GO Championship Series will run from March 17 to June 5. 24 teams from Europe, North and South America will take part in the tournament series. The total prize pool of ESL Impact League Season 1 will be $150,000. However, after the first season, the format of the championship will be reviewed by the Council of Women Players in order to make adjustments based on their feedback.

The ESL Impact League will feature two seasons with LAN Finals, individual events and the ESEA Female Cash Cup. The tournament operator assumes that this step will help diversify the CS:GO esports ecosystem by creating favorable conditions for the development of the female scene.

Eight teams will be represented in each region, two of which will receive direct invitations from the organizers. The remaining six teams will be selected through open qualifiers.

Starting March 17, ESL Impact League Season 1 will take place every Thursday and Friday for six weeks. Eight teams in each region will be divided into two groups of four teams and compete for prizes in a round robin format with BO3 matches. The winner of Group A will face the second team from Group B and vice versa for two spots to the Global Finals, which will be held June 3-5 at IEM Dallas 2022. At the same time, the bottom-placed teams in each group will go to play against the best teams from open qualifiers. Two more slots in the decisive stage of the event will be given to teams that have passed through the Wild Card for teams from South Africa, Asia and Oceania.

Qualifiers for ESL Impact League Season 1 in each region start in less than a month.
