vorborg headlined Copenhagen Flames
The Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames has announced the appointment of vorborg as the head coach of the CS:GO roster. However, the organization signed Frøslev as the main assistant coach. The club added that it plans to hire another assistant to support the team in achieving its goals in 2022.
Daniel Vorborg reflected on his appointment:
One of the top priorities was to find someone who could constantly push the players towards constant development and support the team to our standards.
The team already had two different coaches in djL and pita in less than a year, as well as periods without a coach at all. So we're putting a lot of emphasis on consistency at the moment.
I will be relinquishing many of my other responsibilities at Copenhagen Flames in order to focus my energy on making sure our team performs to the best of their ability. So from the start: I know the players incredibly well, both on and off the server.
To help the team, we want to create a coaching staff around the team with two assistant coaches. We have hired Magnus and he is already a big contributor to the team. The plan with the assistant coaches is to make our performance evaluation as effective as possible, both on a team and individual scale. We have developed a new system for evaluating our performance and we are already seeing how this affects our progress.
vorborg has already led Copenhagen Flames from early 2019 to May 2020. Under his leadership, the Danish team became the winner of Dust2.dk POWER Play, Geeks Gone Wild #25, United Masters League Season 2 and LEGENDS.BET L33T CUP. In addition, the specialist led the team during the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, almost performing a miracle, stopping a step away from reaching the playoffs. In addition, the 29-year-old Dane is a co-founder and head of the division of the organization, which forces vorborg to match positions over the next season.
In turn, Frøslev has been playing for AGF Esport for the last two and a half seasons. Together with the team, the Dane won Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 14, and also reached the semi-finals at LOOT.BET/CS Season 7 and DreamHack Open November 2020.
Recall that Copenhagen Flames remained without a head coach over the past few months, while after the end of PGL Major Stockholm 2021, pita left the team, who decided to reunite with his former NIP partners in Dignitas.
From now on, the line-up of Copenhagen Flames is as follows:
- Jabby.
- nicoodoz.
- roeJ.
- HooXi.
- Zyphon.
- vorborg (coach).
- Frøslev (assistant coach).
