Unicorns of Love closes CS: GO division
The management of the e-sports organization Unicorns of Love announced that they have closed the shooter division from Valve. On December 3, they warned fans of this turn of events. Then, intheir announcement, they said the following:
After almost 3 years our time in CS:GO will come to an end. It was a wild ride resulting in an MDL promotion and the victory of the 99damage Finals in Dortmund, to name a few highlights. However rising costs, a lack of sponsors, the Coronavirus and an unpredictable development in the future of the German CS:GO scene has led to this tough and heartbreaking decision.
We want to thank our players and staff for their dedication and hard work during all these years. Nothing but the best to you all for your future endevours.
Our players will be contracted until the 31st of December 2021 but are free to leave the contract earlier if new opportunities arrive.
Thank you for your undying support! Until we meet again!
Until December 31, none of the esports players could find an opportunity to find a new place to pursue a career and the end of the year marked the exodus of players from Unicorns of Love with the further closure of the department. Crisby, P4TriCK, Anhuin, HadeZ, Python and kakafu trainer are now free agents.
