We looked at many cities, but it seemed to us that Stockholm was the best place for this event. After all, it was here in 2013 that the very first Major in CS: GO took place, and Sweden is also one of the best, if not the best market for CS: GO. When it comes to the number of players, viewers, etc., in the last two years, North and Eastern Europe have been among the leaders. We also chose Stockholm because we knew the place to host the event and accommodate participants and spectators. This made it easier for us.

At the same time, Stroe emphasized that the organizer considered other cities for the PGL Major 2021.

First, we looked at Poland, Romania and Denmark for the Major. But Avicii Arena was the only one big enough to have the necessary space for the tournament. In addition, the arena is connected to the hotel, which is very convenient.

As a reminder, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 was held from October 26 to November 7 in the capital of Sweden. The winner of the championship was the NAVI team, which beat G2 in the final with a score of 2: 0 and earned $ 1,000,000.
