Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Breaks Another Anti-Record For the Franchise

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, released last year, has become one of the most disappointing franchise games over the last few years, including player reviews and especially sales around the world. As 2026 has started, it didn’t change the picture for Activision’s newest title.

The players have noticed Black Ops 7 could reach bigger indicators than could have been expected. According to Steam charts, this month the quantity of players online has dropped to 43,569, while the peak was 52,632 players last month, only one month since the game was released.

Let’s not forget that during the Winter Steam Sale, which is still happening, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is available with a 30% discount, and the Vault Edition is available with a 20% discount. Nevertheless, it couldn't help the game to interest the players.

While Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 isn’t living its best life, in 2026 there will be a new Call of Duty game from Infinity Ward studio, and it could be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
