Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Unveils Massive Season 1 Roadmap
Treyarch has officially lifted the curtain on
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1, outlining a huge wave of new content coming to Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and even Warzone. The new season launches December 4, and as usual, all core content will be available to anyone who owns the game – including Xbox Game Pass players.
A Big Season Arrives After a Rough Launch
While Black Ops 7 received solid critical feedback and praise for its multiplayer, launch numbers reportedly fell behind previous entries, and its campaign attracted heavy criticism. Season 1, however, is being marketed as the biggest first season ever, and based on the roadmap, Treyarch seems determined to turn the momentum around.
Multiplayer: New Maps, Fan-Favorite Modes, and More
Season 1 brings one of the biggest map drops in recent Call of Duty history:
New maps
- Fate
- Utopia
- Odysseus
- Yakei (arriving later in the season)
Returning classics
- Standoff
- Meltdown (In-Season)
- Fringe (In-Season)
Players will also get a holiday-themed version of Hijacked, plus nine modes old and new entering rotation, including Prop Hunt, Sharpshooter, One in the Chamber, Gun Game, Sticks and Stones, and several festive Codmas modes arriving throughout the season.
The multiplayer sandbox expands further with:
- Seven new weapons, including the Maddox RFB, Ballistic Knife, NX Ravager, Sokol 545, and more
- A new Deadeye Drone Scorestreak
- New attachments for weapons like the Akita, MPC-25, M8A1, Coda 9, and AK-27
Endgame Mode: Major New Events and Skills
Endgame players won’t be left behind. Season 1 introduces:
- Four new world events
- Eight exotic skills, giving high-level players more ways to progress and refine builds
Zombies: A Fully Packed Update ☣️
Zombies gets an especially large boost this season, including:
- A new round-based map, Astra Malorum (In-Season)
- Two new Survival maps
- Directed Mode for Ashes of the Damned
- New robotic enemy type: O.S.C.A.R.
- New Field Upgrades
- New Wonder Weapon – the LGM-1
- Return of Mule Kick
This is one of the most substantial Zombies updates since launch, though fans will have to wait for some features to arrive mid-season.
Warzone: A New Battlefield Drops
Season 1 brings plenty for battle royale players as well:
- A new Warzone map: Haven’s Hollow
- New POIs added to Verdansk, including Factory and Signal Station
- New limited-time and casual modes
- Looting and weapon rules now synced with Black Ops 7, including:5-attachment max
- Overkill enabled by default
- Wildcards removed
- Blueprint sharing between Warzone and BO7
Battle Pass Changes Based on Player Feedback
Treyarch has also confirmed several quality-of-life upgrades coming to the Battle Pass:
- Battle Pass Tokens now earned through some daily challenges
- Earlier pages shortened, reducing grind
- Overall unlock time reduced, based on feedback from Black Ops 6
Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 looks enormous – new maps, new weapons, fan-favorite modes, big Zombies additions, a new Warzone map, and progression improvements across the board. Whether it will help reverse the game’s bumpy launch remains to be seen, but it’s clear Treyarch is pushing hard to bring players back in.
