T1 Disbands WIld Rift Roster
The South Korean esports organization T1 has decided to disband the League of Legends: Wild Rift roster. Following the departure of BDG and Jun the day before, the club officially confirmed the parting with the rest of the team.
This concludes our team's journey to Wild Rift. We sincerely appreciate the contributions Jun, JJong, JY, Core, BDG and PenGuin have made to T1. We wish them all the best for the future and thank our fans for their love and support.
The T1 organization introduced the League of Legends: Wild Rift roster last summer, making minor changes to the lineup. During the year, the South Korean team managed to win the WCK 2022 Preseason Invitational, as well as get into the top three at Wild Rift Rivals: LCK vs LPL, Wild Rift Champions Korea 2021 and WCK 2022 Spring.
In addition, the team took part in the first major international championship in the discipline, finishing 9th-12th in the Icons Global Championship 2022.
The day before, Riot Games announced the Wild Circuit, a new off-season series of League of Legends: Wild Rift tournaments. The Tournament Series, which will take place during the summer off-season, has been created so that teams and players can better prepare for the upcoming competitive season.
It is not clear what this decision of the organization is connected with. It is also unknown if T1 plans to return to the discipline for the next competitive season. At the same time , BDG officially left the stage a day earlier, as well as coach Jun announced his departure from the team.
The latest T1 roster for League of Legends: Wild Rift is as follows:
- jjong
