League of Legends: Wild Rift off-season tournament series announced
Riot Games has announced Wild Circuit, a new off-season League of Legends: Wild Rift tournament series. The Tournament Series, which will take place during the summer off-season, has been created so that teams and players can better prepare for the upcoming competitive season.
It is reported that the Wild Circuit will include all regions where Riot Games has an official representation.
The esports scene in League of Legends: Wild Rift has undergone a number of changes to its competitive structure throughout 2022. In January, Riot Games announced that the game would be changing the tournament structure. Moreover, the Icons Global Championship, the largest LAN tournament in the discipline to date, ended at the end of June.
The upcoming Wild Circuit is designed for both professional organizations from League of Legends: Wild Rift and smaller teams to train and keep fit during the off-season. The series will consist of several tournaments organized by third-party tournament operators from July 18 to October 23.
These include the Snapdragon Pro Series and Weibo Cup in China, the Rift MSTRS Wild Rift tournament in North America, and the Wild Circuit Asia Invitational in Southeast Asia. Wild Cricut will also host tournaments in other regions such as Brazil and Latin America.
Interestingly, Riot Games did not mention which regional tournaments will be organized in the EMEA region. However, the company said that third-party hosts can contact Riot Games if they are interested in the offer.
