retzi announces transition to VALORANT
retzi, the Sentinels Apex Legends player, has announced his move to VALORANT. According to the esportsman, it is in VALORANT that he will be able to reveal himself as a professional, while Apex Legends is more focused on content creation.
“I'm not going to delay, so I am leaving the Sentinels to compete in the future VALORANT. For a while, I did not enjoy playing Apex Legends as much as I did before due to the balance and meta changes. also feel like Apex Legends is now more focused on content creation and secondly on competition, which also made me lose the passion I first experienced for the game, ”retzi wrote.
The American began his professional career in 2019. After joining the Sentinels, retzi quickly burst onto the scene, winning San Diego's TwitchCon in Season 1. The take-off in the player's career happened in 2021, as the 22-year-old American took second place in the Nerd Street Gamers - Winter Championship and Esports Arena: Series E Season 2 - Pre-Season Invitational, and also got into the TOP-6 in the ALGS Championship 2021 - North America.
Interestingly, last summer retzi already tried his hand at VALORANT, playing for a short time for T1 Academy. However, he managed to perform only as part of the Pulse Invitational, failing to leave the group.
