Johnta takes over Team Heretics

Team Heretics has announced the appointment of Johnta as head coach. Note that the previous coach of the team was Tanizhq, who led Team Heretics since the inception of the roster.

"Happy to start a new chapter in my career. I will do my best to bring the new roster to the top!", - wrote Johnta.

Johnta is widely known for his coaching career in the CS: GO discipline. Suffice it to recall that the 33-year-old Ukrainian specialist advanced to the playoffs of FACEIT Major: London 2018 together with Hellraisers. However, in recent years, Johnta has coached slightly less eminent teams, be it Project X or CR4ZY, without achieving great heights with them.

Johnta moved to VALORANT last December, accepting an offer from FunPlus Phoenix. Together with the team, the 33-year-old Ukrainian specialist made it to the TOP-4 at First Strike Europe, and also won several major tournaments, including VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Challengers 2 and VCT 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 1. The last tournament as a coach for Johnta became VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals, where FunPlus Phoenix failed to qualify for the group, losing to Gambit (0: 2). However, just a few days ago, FunPlus Phoenix made the decision to part ways with Johnta, announcing the appointment of d00mbr0s.
