VCT 2021 participants announced: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 1

The full list of participants for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 1 has become known. The tournament, which will be held from 6 to 9 April, will compete for € 35,000, as well as two places at VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals.

Teams Acend, Opportunists (DfuseTeam), FunPlus Phoenix, Alliance, Vitality, Heretics, Ninjas In Pajamas and Guild were selected for the tournament. Note that the first four teams received a high seeding rate, as they won the quarter-finals of the qualifying tournament. During the selection process, there were some sensations. For example, G2 did not make it to the championship, which lost to Vitality in the first round. Another sensation is the defeat of Team Liquid by Guild in the second round of the competition. Also at the tournament we will miss Fnatic, which lost to Alliance in the 1/8 finals.

All matches of the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 1 will be played in BO3 format. However, the grand final will be held in BO5 format, despite the fact that both finalists will receive a seat at VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals.
